Wayne Gillies is a lucky enough to be a successful motion picture producer of
independent
features for companies like Tigger Street Productions, Insomnia Entertainment, Showtime Networks,
Rhino Films and more....
Among the highlights are COLUMBUS DAY with Val Kilmer and WHAT WE DO IS SECRET
starrring Shane West which screened well at the 2007 Los Angeles Film Festival.
Others are the well received MUSIC WITHIN Ron Livingston and Rebecca Demornay
star. SEXUAL LIFE directed by
Ken Kwapis with Anne Heche, BAADASSSSS!
the Mario Van Peebles IFP Spirit best feature nominated biopic
about his father Melvin Van Peebles, DEVIL'S POND with Tara Reid and Kip
Pardue, and LOVE OBJECT for Ed Pressman's Content Film - just to name a
few.
Gillies also directed
the charming romantic-comedy BULLFIGHTS, an independent feature film for Quixotic

Additionally, Bruce has directed three well- received short films and two new
music videos .
He has directed
second
unit for a hit TV action-adventure drama - plus - he has been the director of
several television sports, entertainment and news shows and many commercials.
Gillies was
exhilarated to be awarded his feature film directorial debut on the motion picture,
BULLFIGHTS. Now
fininshed and seeking distribution.
Just prior to directing on BULLFIGHTS Gillies helmed the music video "Aliens'
for the progressive rock band NEON VENUS.
This creative music video is fun and dynamic, and it is available
online for screening from the NEON VENUS website.
Gillies also directed
a music video for the techno-group A VIOLENT LIFE and their song "Xpresso
Bongo". The song, 'Xpresso Bongo', and music video is
full of energy and is available right now for screening.
Gillies directed
second unit on the Warner Bros. production of THE NEW ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD. A
demanding television action-adventure drama shot on location in Vilnius, Lithuania
that was distributed first-run syndication, seen worldwide.
Bruce Wayne Gillies is also the writer, producer and
director of the twisted short DV film
THE SPLITTING HARE-ACHE. Read the reviews

Gillies' first short was a Palm
Springs International Film Festival, Hamptons International Film Festival, Wine Country Film Festival

co-wrote, produced and directed.
All of these productions clearly demonstrate Bruce
Wayne Gillies' natural filmmaking ability.
An accomplished, smart filmmaker, Bruce Wayne Gillies has been
creating, writing, producing, directing, and
professionally working on motion
picture productions dating back to 1984 -
safe to say more than twenty years.
As a 15 year-old high school
sophomore Bruce picked up his dad's Super 8mm camera and began his filmmaking career
by shooting scenes of his friends during the first Olympics, in costume with a
soundtrack.
Bruce continued his
directing campaign in college as an undergraduate helming multi-camera coverage of
NCAA college sports. He's created, written and directed
several professional televison news and entertainment programs for cable and PBS.
Gillies worked
professionally as a director/editor at WCMU TV while attending college at Central Michigan University majoring in Cinematic Arts.
He was also a production manager at Cable Vision Inc., Mt. Pleasant, MI,
and as a Radio D.J. at WCFX, Clare, MI and WLMA, Alma MI.
He's spent
19 years years busy working in
Hollywood and overseas as either Line Producer, 2nd Unit
Director, UPM, or 1st A.D. on feature films, music videos,
commercials, and television shows.
In addition, Bruce has even
focused his sense of motion pictures towards the Internet creating content with the
launching of ShortFilmChannel.com
in 1997predating what is now youtube.
Bruce Wayne Gillies grew up
near Detroit in the suburb Southgate, Michigan, and moved to Hollywood directly
after college to pursue his filmmaking career.
He now resides in Southern
California with his wife and children.
